Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a truly diverse collection of students. Our students are often faced with a variety of adversities and challenges at such a very young age.
Many of our students come from multi-cultural backgrounds and English is often not a language they are proficient in, yet their perseverance stays strong.
No matter what our students see outside of our school, they still show up with a smile on their faces and a willingness to learn. The lessons we teach hopefully bring hope to each of our students.
Third grade is such a crucial time period in education. With the current situation COVID, we are currently implementing remote instruction. It may sound trivial, but the significance of having a personal headphones set with a microphone attached will serve a great purpose in keeping our students actively engaged in the learning.
Any help in assisting us to achieve giving our students their own headphone set would be a definite step in the right direction of maintaining mitigation, along with creating a proactive learning environment. Thank you.
My Project
Students having their own personal headphones during remote instruction will increase their level of active learning, along with allowing them the responsibility of taking care of a learning tool.
That learning tool would be a headphone, with personal ownership, which furthermore gives students the responsibility of becoming an independent learner and adds another tool to their individual toolbox towards achievement.
Our population of students are not capable of obtaining a headset of their very own due to economic reasons and often times home environments. Help our kids have a learning tool of their very own, one that can last and provides more lasting learning experiences.
