Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my room are extremely creative. As a group, they have and continue to overcome extreme life experiences. Despite all the negative things they go through they demonstrate that they want to improve and be better. No matter how hard the day is they always come in ready to try their best
They make me want to do my absolute best every day.
They come in every day ready with ideas and perspectives that are eye opening, unique, and a bit silly at times.
My Project
My students are eager learners but have a difficult time reading. They have the motivation to be great readers but lack the materials to do it. They currently attempt to have their books read to them but often struggle because there is too much noise in the classroom making them miss out on their book.
Having Headphones will allow them to read books on their own while building their fluency, comprehension and their confidence in their own reading.
Many of my students are bilingual and need these headphones not only to improve their literacy but to also be more fluent in a second language.
