This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Eager students need support in reading. The majority of my students are two or more years behind in reading and they come to me for additional reading support. I service grade 6th, 7th and 8th and I have an average of about 15 to 30 kids depending on need in the building. All work that we do is to help them become better readers in life and in the classroom. My students tend to be those who are less fortunate so any help would benefit their knowledge growing.

My Project

Everyday Math students need to use the computer in order to complete class work for my course. They often struggle to get the work done because they don't have headphones they need in order to listen to the modules and complete their work. Being able to provide phones for the classroom seems simple but it is way too much for me to provide on my own financially. Any help in order to get headphones for my kids and which we can reuse every year would be very beneficial for me and for them they'll be able to get their work done and read online and feel accomplished.
