Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year my students are taking part in a great opportunity! They have been given the chance to be a part of a pilot 1:1 Chromebook-to-student classroom. We are in need of headphones for our Chromebooks to finish up this year and headphones to start the next year off. We use Chromebooks daily for a ton of different activities. We are really into listening to audio books, and we are running out of headphones to use in our classroom. If you can donate anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
My Project
We use Chromebooks daily in our classroom. We have had the great opportunity to get a full set of classroom Chromebooks but not the headphones to go along with them. We have been really big into using audiobook websites this year. Most of my students don't have access to a large library outside of school, so we are grateful to use online sites to support our learning and increase access to books.
Being able to listen to stories has been an awesome thing for these students.
They are able to have their own libraries online full of books related to their interests. This has helped my students this year enjoy reading even more. I would love to get these headphones for my current students and the future third graders who will be a part of this program. Thank you!
