This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I'm an exchange teacher from Jamaica teaching in a rural title one school in North Carolina. I have 18 beautiful, enthusiastic students who are excited about learning and being in school.
All of my students are from low socio-economic background, living mainly in single parent households.
They are also in our backpack program where they receive snacks and juice to take home on a Friday.
I am very invested in my students education. Ensuring that they are and remain excited in the teaching learning experience.
My Project
We need headphones in our classroom while we work on our core standards on our many educational programs. These headphones were chosen because they are of good quality thus ensuring they will be available for many year.
Currently we are sharing four headphones that do not have a microphone.
Which means we aren't able to complete all our assignments and assessments.
My students are very excited to be completing their reading and math programs. These headphones will ensure that they will be able to perform at their best because they will be hearing clearly and will be able to respond orally as well.
