My Students

For many of my students, first grade is their first experience at school. They are learning how to be students and how to love learning. My first graders are a diverse group of students, including many ELL students.

My first graders are quickly becoming blossoming readers.

They look forward to our weekly read aloud in class and get excited on their way to library when they get to pick out their own books. As their skills continue to develop, they are becoming avid readers and writers. They love to use their imagination and create their own stories as well as read others' stories.

My Project

My students all have their own Chromebooks - which is amazing. We have so many wonderful programs that help enhance our students learning. We have programs that read to students, help them learn math strategies, and teach them basic literacy skills. Many of these programs require students to listen to something, which requires headphones.

Over the years, headphones wear out and stop working.

Unfortunately, headphones can be expensive, therefore many of my students are left using headphones that don’t work well.

These requested headphones will ensure that my students can use the programs that are available to them and help enrich their literacy and math learning.
