Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Every day I greet my students with a high five or a handshake at the door. Students are eager to quickly enter our technology lab and begin the day's lesson. I have had previous students return to me, thanking me for preparing them for high school and they say I've done well.

My students are from an inner-city and while they have many challenges in life, they are strong and willing to fight for their future.

They are in love with technology and my classroom is set up to inspire creativity. With some help, I can help them achieve incredible technology projects. My school has a wonderful, inviting, safe culture that welcomes all students and parents to join our learning journey.

My Project

Please help support my K-8 technology class, we are in of a class set of headphones to replace 3 year old failing headsets. Students use headphones every day in my technology class. Because each students instruction is individualized for their learning path, it's essential that students have working headphones so they hear their lesson while not being confused by the student next to them lesson. I currently have about half of my class without headphones and they are frustrated because they can't understand their lessons as their neighbors computer lessons are being pushed out the desktop speaker because the headphones are broken.
