My Students

Our students are very important to us and are sometimes only introduced to skills and technologies through their schooling, as we have a low-income school with over 85% of our children being low income.

In my classroom, I strive to give students an opportunity to be successful in their own ways, even though they are not always "traditional".

In this school, we are building skills that will impact students' futures through social, personal, technological, scientific, and mathematical skills. We are focusing on the successful integration of all students into the real world and the workforce by focusing on key skills. Every success is celebrated in our classrooms and school, as every step forward is a step in the right direction.

My Project

With this project, I am requesting noise-cancelling headphones that can be used by all children in my classroom. As times have changed, so have the needs for special education children. We access iPads daily for educational uses. Many of the student's in my class require noise cancelling headphones throughout the day to cancel any outside noises, but they have to take them off to put on regular headphones from the use of the iPad.

With the funding of this project, you would be providing my students with the opportunity to learn using their technology, while meeting their special needs.
