Help me give my students headphones so they can achieve success by listening to those difficult science words as they read curriculum! My bilingual students will thrive with the listening component I wish to add to their class!
Our students are from a rural area that has been hit hard by poverty and students in crisis. We are a Title I school located in a farming community. My students are challenged with many of life's harsh realities but shine with hope to a brighter future.

My classroom provides students with hands-on STEM activities to engage learners in problem solving, build cooperative learning skills, and provide opportunities for all students, including ESE, ELL and Gifted students, to push beyond their goals and succeed. My students have a million questions and hunger to discover the answers to many of mankind's wonderings.
Please help me provide them with the tools they need to achieve success.
My Project
I want to provide headphones for all sixth grade students so they will have the option of listening to the curriculum while completing science lessons on their laptops. Many of my students struggle with the language of science as well as their reading skills.
Listening to the science curriculum while reading the science text will allow students to acquire the science knowledge needed to perform successfully on classwork and assessments.
Our second language learners often can hear and understand English but struggle with reading English. The headphones will benefit ALL learners in my science classroom.
