My students have had very limited exposures to science and engineering, and are full of curiosity about the nature of science in the world today.
My students enjoy Science and love that we learn about it in so many different ways.
I teach in an urban school district where approximately 75% of students receive free or reduced lunch. Many come from homes where there is little support for educational endeavor; yet, my students are excited to learn about science everyday, and demonstrate an inquisitive nature about the natural world. Despite having reading levels that are oftentimes significantly below grade level, my students demonstrate a consistent desire to learn about science and engineering.
My students need headphones to increase engagement in their interactive STEM education through Project Lead the Way and MI-STAR Curricula. These curricula help students become engaged in the learning that is needed to prepare students for the jobs of the future.
Headphones will help my students stay more focused and engaged in their STEM curriculum in Science.
Science curriculum is changing to meet the needs of the 21st century careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Students are being engaged through interactive lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners. The use of these headphones will help students engage in the curriculum at their own pace.
