My Students

Our classroom is an active and busy Pre-k and students get so excited with new activities every week and the wonderful technology that we have. My goal is that every child is successful!

My students are four and five years old and live in a small town.

Our district is a low-income Title 1 school and many of our students don't have opportunities at home to learn, so we make sure their day is full of exploration, books, exciting new activities, people in the community, and technology. They are sweet, curious, excited about learning, and not afraid to try new things. Homer school is a prek - 5th grade school, but I think it is more like a family. Homer is full of teachers and administration that truly care about each and every child and their family. We have high expectations and big hearts. We want every child to be successful and love learning.

My Project

Our students have been blessed with several different forms of technology in our classroom. We have two computers, two kindles, and two iPads that we use daily. However, we are lacking headphones. We have a few headphones, but they are made for adults and not little ears, so they slip off and don't fit correctly. We will use new kid-sized headphones every day for educational apps and computer activities.

Having new headphones in our classroom will ensure that each child working on our computers, kindles, and ipads will have headphones that fit correctly and are sturdy enough for daily classroom use.
