My Students

I teach at a Title I school where students push themselves daily to meet the criteria for their grade level. I currently have 18 students that are as unique as their educational needs.

Not only are these sixth-grade students working hard in class, but many of my students have additional responsibilities at home that make it more difficult to concentrate on their studies.

My goal is to give my students as many tools as possible to help them be successful. I feel it would benefit my students learning to have headphones to use while working on their Chromebooks.

My Project

We are fortunate to be 1:1 on technology at my school, however, we don't have headphones. We are able to utilize our Chromebooks by using great programs like Google Classroom, XtraMath, Dreambox, and NoRedInk to name a few of them.

These programs give individualized learning to each student while also helping them to type and do research as well.

One problem my students are having is being able to stay focused or listen to the program because we don't have headphones. If my students had headphones they could focus more on their work and utilize the programs more by being able to turn the volume on to listen to instructions.
