My students need individual headphones for their technology use in our classroom. Our class was just given an extra laptop cart to be used by my students and other students on my vertical team.
I have a fun and energetic bunch of students that I am blessed to teach this year. They enjoy movement, dancing, music, and independent instruction. They mainly love technology! I serve students of a wide financial and ethnic diversity, with some students coming from very difficult situations in their home life. I also have various students with various levels of discipline and attention needs. They are all special to me, and we work everyday to build a strong classroom relationship. We love to have fun and do various projects that are technology and digital based.
My Project
My students love technology. We use it in some aspect of our instruction every day in my classroom. My students also like to work independently and are encouraged to do so in order to promote responsibility and accountability for their work and education. Quite a few of my students are also very easily distracted from things around them and do not complete activities due to it.
Our class has been given access to our own laptop cart that we previously used to share with a 2nd grade class.
With full access to these laptops, I can plan even more technology based instruction for my students. In order to allow each student use these laptops independently without distraction of others, we need a class set of headphones for my students to use as their own. These headphones would be assigned to each student and be used to allow them to use our new technology independently and limit distractions from others around them.
