My Students

Our school is a small, rural elementary school located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Twenty-three percent of our students receive free or reduced lunches. Though we are rural, we are part of the second largest school district in Nevada.

Because our region is rapidly growing and our student population has increased, our school added a second 4th grade classroom--ours!

Our classroom provides a safe, respectful, and responsible learning environment for all students to grow academically and personally.

My Project

Imagine you are a 10 year-old working in a productive classroom with 20 other children. It can get a bit noisy and distracting and make it difficult to concentrate when you are working on a device. We need some soft headphones that fit our 4th grade heads and ears.

As a kid, it can be frustrating when you get a headache from the adult-sized headphones that are squishing your ears.

These headphones will help my students comfortably listen to their devices when working. Additionally, some students like to wear the headphones when working independently just so they may better concentrate.
