I teach second grade to an enthusiastic group of learners! We love to play, laugh, and learn throughout the year. We often love to get our wiggles out through dancing and creating. My students continue to inspire me throughout the years, and my class this year is an awesome group. We have challenges to work through, but I have seen great determination in all of my students. I am a firm believer in an inclusive classroom, and I strive to have strategies in place for my general education students and my students that need additional services for learning disabilities or developmental delays.
My second graders are incredibly hard-working and show a determination to achieve all of the goals we have set this year.
My Project
Education has started moving more towards computer-based testing to complete assessments for the state and for the district. These assessment scores are used to compare data across the nation, state, and district. It is imperative that students are able to have effectively working headphones to gather valid data. Having data that is reliable and valid is important to adjust instruction based on student needs.
Online assessments for second grade require most directions to be read to students with the use of headphones.
Our class is needing additional headphones for when our headphones are not working or when they are forgotten at home.
