My Students

Second graders are amazing! These students go through quite a metamorphosis. They begin the year as burgeoning readers, budding mathematicians, and blossoming scientists. Throughout their journey in second grade, they bloom into experienced students ready to take on the world!

My new second grade scholars this year are ready for an exciting adventure in learning!

These are students with a variety of social, emotional, and academic needs and come from diverse backgrounds with many new English Language Learners. Providing a common, inviting, and safe area for everyone to grow together is my highest priority!

My Project

My class is in need of a set of headphones with microphones. In second grade, students have access to a great computer-based learning program. However, this program requires students to be able to "speak" to the computer. The headphones we have in class do not have microphones so we must wait for a time to go to the computer lab so that students can access this program.

Having these headphones in class will help everyone access this great reading site!

Students can go to the site during their reading centers and we will not lose valuable class time transitioning back and forth to the computer lab across campus.
