Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have twenty-five first graders who are eager to learn. They love to come to school and the school year requires several supplies that will be used. Our school is a Title One elementary school in the California Bay Area. Supplies are in constant need to be replenished and donations from families are limited.
Children thrive with hands-on learning.
All of our students love to learn and I make it my goal to help them absolutely love coming to school each and every day.
My Project
Technology is a wonderful tool to use in teaching students academics. Throughout the school day, students are exposed to technology and are given time to explore and learn through technology.
When students use technology, they need outside distractions to be at a minimum.
The headphones would allow students to learn through technology, remain engaged, and focus while using the technology.
Headphone use with technology would be used across the school subjects. There are apps that give students fun and engaging games to review and/or enrich with math concepts, reading, and research with writing. Students are even able to learn how to code! There are so many wonderful uses of technology in education. The headphones would allow our students to explore all of the benefits of technology.
