This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all bright individuals who are eager to learn! They just recently became one to one with technology (ipads). They are excited to use them for assignments and programs that are offered to them. During school is the only time some students are able to use technology and I would love for them to be able to use them more on a daily basis. I will be teaching Reading and Social Studies for three classes this school year.

My Project

I will be using technology more in my classroom this school year. With headphones, my students will be able to concentrate more on their work instead of hearing others iPads. It can be very distracting for them to hear the sound from 21 other ipads while trying to focus on their own work. They will not have to worry about me telling them to turn the volume down because I cannot hear the students at my table. Our district offers several programs that require students to listen while working. They will even be able to listen to books being read to them.
