My school has a vibrant and diverse group of students in a Pre-K through fifth grade setting. We have several ethnicities and nationalities represented here. Many of our students receive free or reduced-price lunch as we are a Title I school. We have neighborhood students in attendance and those who enter our school through the magnet lottery in our partial magnet program for Talent Development.
I work with an eager group of 25 diverse students ranging in varying ability levels and backgrounds in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
These students range from being significantly below grade level to being significantly above grade level. The goal for my students is to make over a year's worth of growth, and provide the best education using hands-on experiences as possible!
I am planning to use google classroom with my students. Within this platform, students receive differentiated digital assignments from the teacher that are helping them become digital citizens and 21st Century learners.
For students to be able to work at their own pace and work on individualized assignments and have research opportunities, headphones are necessary so they do not disturb others in our classroom family while listening to any text read aloud or videos that are assigned.
My students are using chrome books within the classroom and they want to be respectful of others while gaining the content they need.
