Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
As a special education teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many difficulties they face, I strive to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students are clever, creative, and very spontaneous.
They are always in motion and love a lot of positive attention. Many of my students are being raised in single-parent households and receive free or price-reduced lunch based on their socioeconomic status. Despite facing adversity, they walk into our classroom with smiles on their faces, ready to tackle the day!
My Project
Technology is a wonderful tool for students to use to enhance their learning. Throughout the school day, our students are exposed to technology and are given opportunities to explore and learn through their use of technology.
These headphones would allow students to learn, remain engaged, and focused while using technology.
A classroom can be a distracting place. Learning is happening in different ways across the classroom. It is important for students who are using technology to have minimal distractions. These headphones would allow students who are using technology to focus on the task at hand without having to hear what is happening around them.
