My Students

We are an amazing group of 4th and 5th grade students! We attend a Title I public school in Charlotte, NC. As Title I students, we work hard but lack the financial resources to which many other students have access. We have grown our school grade from a F to a C over the past year. Our goal is to be an A school. We want our students to be able to compete with any other student no matter the socioeconomic background. We are in the business of growing learners and changing futures!

We are eager to do our best, and appreciate any help you can offer!

My Project

Our students use reading websites to practice listening to reading and responding to questions about a text. Many students also need headphones for online testing. The headphones with microphones allow students to read out loud, listen to themselves read, and then respond by correcting fluency errors. They can also respond to questions about the text using the headphones.

EC students can use a read-aloud model to take state assessments.

The headphones also block out outside noise, allowing all students to be more focused on the work at hand, rather than being distracted by outside noises. The headphones are something that will be used daily.
