I have the best students who are full of energy and excited to learn. They enjoy when we get creative, changing things up by doing class activities/projects that are hands on. They are a pretty diverse group of kids with different backgrounds and cultures.
My kids have the potential to be someone amazing when they grow up, they just need the extra resources and tools to accomplish it, especially the technology!
My school is an incredible charter school that cares about the students and teachers. While they ensure the kids receive the necessary materials, we need some help, especially after Hurricane Irma, ensuring they get extra resources that will let them have a more hands-on experience.
When my students enter the room I want them to be encouraged to strive for their best, continue to be enthusiastic and happy with STEM related projects in class, and have access to the latest technology that will inspire their future careers.
My students are often in need of headphones while utilizing curriculum via computers. Their lesson often includes sound in the assignments while they are learning new and unfamiliar vocabulary words, reading passages, and other forms of language arts, as well as social studies.
I'm requesting a class set of over-ear headphones.
By obtaining enough headphones for one class, each student will benefit more from the lessons instead of attempting to hear over the noise of those students surrounding them.
Student focus and interest in the material they are learning will increase and the lessons will be more engaging. I believe they will also appreciate the privacy and seclusion that the headphones provide while they are studying and taking exams.
