Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I serve as the teacher to some wonderful kindergartners from diverse backgrounds. Many of my students are Hispanic or Asian and have moved to North Carolina from Guatemala, South Korea, and other various countries for work. The school I work for is considered a Title I school. This is my third year teaching and my second year teaching kindergarten.
I've created this project to help me purchase head phones for my students.
Last year I used ear buds as head phones for my students; however, they became tangled very easily and were not sturdy enough to last through the whole year. These head phones are well made and will be used in my classroom for a long time. Thank you for any help you are able to give me in providing materials for my classroom!
My Project
These headphones will help my students be able to use their iPad minis to aid in their learning. Students will be able to listen to their individual iPads while on differentiated programs that promote literacy and math skills, such as Math Seeds and Reading Eggs. These headphones will allow students to work on their individual learning while also causing no distraction to other students. These headphones will last for the entire year. I used ear buds last year with my students and they were not durable enough for daily use. These headphones will also help students learn about technology and how it can be used at school.
