My Students

My students come from a rural area, where 100% of our district qualifies for free breakfast and lunch. They are remarkable children, with a world of possibilities ahead of them. Their drive to learn more inspires me. I want to equip them with the skills necessary to succeed in the 21st century. We utilize many adaptive programs in my classroom that require the students to view and engage in personalized lessons on the computer. This requires students to be able to focus on their unique lesson. This becomes difficult when there are no headphones. We are simply looking for 11 quality headphones that my students will be able to use on a daily basis. Any donation is greatly appreciated.

My Project

My students and I are in search of quality headphones that will allow the students to focus of their adaptive learning. Through programs such as Prodigy, Freckle, Study Island, and Khan Academy students receive work on their own personal learning levels. This requires the students to focus but becomes difficult when we do not have access to quality headphones. My students come from a rural community where nearly all are eligible for free and reduced lunch. Students are unable to supply their own quality headphones. The cheap ones from the dollar store do not last.

These headphones will allow the students to grow at their own levels and pace.
