Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are amazing! They are eager to learn, ready to dive into new topics, and strong enough to keep going when things get tough.

My students and I are a team, working and learning together all the time.

We do as much as we can despite issues outside of the classroom. We work hard daily to learn how to read and complete basic math. My students are a family. We work together, struggle together, cry together, and, most importantly, learn together.

My Project

I am asking for headphones for my 1st grade students. We were recently blessed with a classroom set of Chromebooks, but lack headphones. We were given headphones in another project, but they have all broken. Many of the math programs we use have interactive, game like environments that students need to be able to hear.

Technology is essential to student learning in today's world and headphones help them better understand what they are learning.

My students use Chromebooks, computers, and iPads every day for multiple subjects. My students enjoy Dreambox and Prodigy to practice math while still having fun. Students need to be able to hear what they are learning about, but cannot without headphones that work!
