My Students

Do you want to share with me the joy of being the best part of my students' day?

My students attend a therapeutic day program for students with special needs.

My students come from a low-income city located in the state of CT. My students come to school with smiles on their faces every day because, for most of them, we are the best part of their day. They work hard and they are eager and excited to learn. My students deserve access to all the materials needed to help them learn and grow both behaviorally and academically.

My Project

My project will be used to distribute headphones to students in my school who have sensory issues. All of our students are identified and have an IEP with multiple disabilities. For most of our students sensory stimuli is often distracting for them because of their disability. If students are able to have their own pair of headphones to use when they are on the computer doing an activity in school or homework at home it will help them. Having the headphones to help them stay on task will greatly improve their time on task with less frustration.
