Headphones for Chromebooks - We Need to Hear Without Listening to All!
My students need headphones that they can use when they come to my classroom to do the 1:1 initiative blended learning activities that will prepare them for 21st Century learning involving science and literacy.
My students are sweet and full of hugs. They are always looking for validation and for someone to cheer them on. More than half of my students are impoverished and need a hero and role model in their lives. They need someone to value them and give them the opportunities that will help them to rise above their own social situations. My students are the future, my students are smart, some of them do not think they can achieve, but I KNOW THEY CAN! I am looking to give them basic things that allow them to be successful in technology. My students need headphones that they can use when they come to my classroom to do the 1:1 initiative blended learning activities that will prepare them for 21st Century learning. The earbuds that I have purchased in the past have broken within a week and most of my students do not have the money to purchase a decent pair. I want my students to have the same opportunities to learn as do others who can afford something as basic as a set of headphones. If I had a good class set, it would start to level the playing field.
My Project
This will make the difference to all 107 students that I teach! My students are not able to afford earbuds that will be durable, therefore each child is made to listen to the video clips/activities on another student's Chromebook and it is really an impossible situation for them. I want my students to feel like they can have the same opportunities to learn as the students in the higher socio-economic schools literally less than 20 miles from ours. I want my students to be on the SAME PLAYING FIELD! Please help them to have one class set of quality headphones.
