My students are spectacular for so many reasons! My students strive for excellence in and out of the classroom. They are always working hard to achieve extraordinary things! My students love science and are very excited to come into my class every day and learn. I am always surprised by their eagerness and willingness to work hard to learn new things.
My students are hungry for more knowledge and more experiences.

My Project
My students have varied reading levels. Some students need read aloud assistance. Headphones will allow them to get the accommodations they need to practice their reading comprehension, while not having to be embarrassed about getting read to. This will also help my students on the other end of the spectrum. Some students are at a higher level than the rest of their peers and need enriching materials to further their education. Rather than give these students busywork, I like to introduce them to exciting real life material that relates directly to the standards they are learning. In order to keep them at a high level and interested in science, I will need to give them individualized material. This would require headphones while they are working with technology, so that they do not distract the lower level learners.
For my students who need remediation, these headphones will serve as protection and privacy from judgment.
This will allow these students to work at closing the achievement gap by practicing their content and reading comprehension. The community that my school is in works hard for everything that they have, and they do not have extra. Every dollar is accounted for and there aren't any to spare. Our school needs support to help our students be successful.
