My Students

The students I serve attend a K-5 grade school in an urban area of Kansas City. These children come from low-income families in high poverty stricken areas, but dedicate themselves to the learning and exploration of the world and its opportunities.

My students are determined and creative scholars with so much potential.

As a teacher for these children, I teach to inspire, encourage, and support them in every way. My goal is to spark their love for learning! They fail, they prevail, and they succeed.

My Project

Our students are exposed to many methods of learning. Technology in the classroom is highly utilized for student engagement. All students in my classroom are fortunate to have their own iPads to complete assignments, practice skills, and assess progress.

This project allows for all students in my classroom to have their own headphones to use alongside the iPads.

While our school has headphones for them to use, they break often and have not withheld the wear and tear that children have put them through. Giving each student a pair of high-quality headphones will get them excited and allow for the transition to iPads to run smoothly.
