This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are one of the most diverse groups around. The students' cultural makeup is a true melting pot that provides a glimpse into what the future of America is moving towards. It is wonderful to see, especially at such a young and innocent age, children learning, playing, socializing, and growing together. Our students however, lack many opportunities and resources that others in the surrounding communities may receive.

I only hope to even the playing field by providing some of the equipment and technology to help our students continue to evolve and maximize their potential.

At Midtown Community Elementary School we are always striving to provide more opportunities for our children to thrive!

My Project

With all the remote and hybrid learning going on there are definitely challenging situations that arise. Teachers are overcoming and creating great new content, using technology in ways we never have before. In doing so some challenges have come to light.

Providing headphones to every student will help ease the technical challenges that arise when multiple students are using devices in the same room (noise feedback from open mics), but also provide a more immersive experience while viewing content through their devices.

This project will help change the experience of an entire school.
