The students that this project will be benefiting are from a low-income, Title 1 school. They may not have a lot, but they deserve the best just like any other child. They are kind, they are responsible, and they will always put a smile on your face. These students are so deserving of new experiences and opportunities they would otherwise not have. At the school, we are doing everything we can to make these students experience the best it can be. Thank you for all of your support!
My Project
In my classroom, the students have a system in which they complete online reading lessons. These lessons help the students with their reading comprehension in literature, and informational texts. They also expose them to academic vocabulary, and if needed work on their phonics skills. Every lesson that the students are assigned, it has a audio portion which is imperative to their learning. Without being able to hear the word, story, or letter-sound, the students are unable to reach their full learning potential. These headphones would make a huge difference in the students ability to focus on their lessons without distractions.
