Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The students at our school come from multicultural, multilingual, and multi-socioeconomic backgrounds. Our classrooms range from ones that have advanced students, second language learners, struggling students, students with special needs, and everything in between.

Our diversity is what makes our school as unique as the world language we offer for foreign language credit: American Sign Language (ASL).

Our school is the only one in our district that offers ASL, and the only one within 30 miles of any other district.

My Project

As we move to online They will watch videos, listen to lectures, and participate in online chats, discussions, and virtual meetings. My students need headphones and earbuds for their tablets to use in their new journey to distance education. Many people assume that in this day and age, all students must have headphones, but in reality many do not.

This is an essential piece of technology they need to be able to focus on the online task at hand, blocking out any distractions that may come from working in their new educational environments at home.

This transition will be much easier with updated, new headphones.
