Help me give my students each a pair of headphones to make them successful learners, a diverse set of books to encourage their curious minds and recess equipment to foster their social growth.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are a wonderful group, they are full of energy and ready to learn. They are curious about all things and ask many questions throughout the day. My students are funny, creative, and uniquely different but we come together as a wonderful community.
My students have drive to grow to become the best version of themselves and they need more tools to help them achieve their goals.
With the right tools and my students creativity the possibilities are endless.
Each one of my students has a love for reading, being read to and reading to others. When my students get books into their hands they are able to imagine so many incredible adventures!
My Project
The books Quest for the Heart, Brand New School, Brave New Ruby, EllRay Jakes Is Not a Chicken, and other books will continue supporting and challenging my students love for literacy and books. The headphones will help my students on their computer programs to foster growth in their language skills. My students need to be able to easily hear the programs we use in order for the programs to be beneficial for them. The books I have selected will encourage my students to become better readers. Having these tools will help advance my students literacy skills.
The wide range of books will allow each of my students to increase their curiosity of the world around them.
The recess balls, jump ropes and LEGOs equipment will allow my students learn new skills and help foster social growth which will benefit them in and out of the classroom. This equipment will not only impact my 28 students, but will impact many other students in my school as well.
