This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom we do IReady 3 times a week and many families cannot afford to buy headphones for their child.

This is to help students focus more on class instruction and increase their understanding.

Algebra tiles are used to help students understand equations.

They are able to have hands on experiences with why

2x+1 = 15 and what does it mean in algebra.

I would use a paper balance scale and students are able to move around the algebra tiles to make more meaning in their learning. They would use 2 bars to represent 2x and 1 small square tile to represent +1.
