At our low-income school, my students face many struggles inside and outside of school. All of the students at my school receive free lunches due to the poverty level and because of this many of them are not able to experience things that many take for granted. I strive to provide an environment for my students where they feel safe, loved, and have everything they need to be the best children and students they can be.
My students are silly, energetic, and love school.
They like to learn, read, and do things that everyone else is able to do. We laugh, learn, and grow together.
My Project
Today's classroom is changing at a rapid pace! Technology is being integrated into all areas of learning and having quality headphones will increase student engagement and, therefore, provide an opportunity to transform learning for students and allows them to achieve amazing things! Utilizing headphone splitters will allow students to work together on projects while maintaining focus and engagement in the activity.
Utilizing technology allows my students to experience new things and learn in ways that have never been accessible to my students.
Headphones provide a personal experience and help maintain focus and engagement on the individual students' work. This is important when learning foundational skills such as letters, sounds, rhyming, word segmenting, and fluency. In Kindergarten, foundational skills are so important for students to be successful as they continue through school!
