My Students

I teach in a military town, and about 70% of the students in my school are from families serving the country. My school is on an island off the coast of Washington in a town with a population around 23,000.

I want to make my classroom a place where students are comfortable so they can get everything they need to learn.

Many of the students in my classroom have only been there 1-2 years, and many of them know they will be moving in the next 3-5 years. The fact that many of my students move around so much definitely affects the friendships and confidence they have in the classroom. I want to make sure all my students feel comfortable and represented in my classroom.

My Project

These headphones will help my students access our online programs easily. We use a lot of online programs to help enhance all academic areas of school and even occasionally play some games. Having headphones that are reliable and comfortable is key to kids utilizing technology effectively.

Many of my students do not come to school with adequate headphones and having these headphones on hand will make serving my students' needs much easier.

Headphones with microphones are also very useful because it allows students to record themselves for various assignments which can really increase engagement and excitement about assignments.
