This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In my intervention classes, students work hard to improve their literacy skills. In this class, all students are 3 or more grades level below their peers. This class through small group instruction and this computer program, helps catch them up to their peers.

My students are energetic and excited about learning.

They struggle but they also work really hard. Many are below the poverty line and come from single parent households. The struggles my students go through in their daily lives does not take away their pride about out school.

My Project

My students need headphones to work on their I Ready online reading program. They will use these materials daily to improve their reading and writing skills using the online computer program. They will also allow me to show videos and do additional small group instruction and have ELL students listen to readings we are doing in class.

This will improve classroom environment and allow students to increase their reading and writing skills.

It will allow ELL students to listen to readings. Finally and most importantly it will help prepare them to be successful in high school.
