Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students reside in the poorest congressional district in the United States of America. They come from all across the cultural rainbow. From the Caribbean to Latin America to Europe to Africa to Asia.
They are truly world citizens.
They speak a hundred different languages. They are connected through their love of learning and their desire to build a future for themselves and their families. Many will be the first to attend college. I am very proud to be their math teacher.
My Project
Today's modern laptops are not always compatible with the older Smartboards. Our older Smartboards use the VGA connectors which are not compatible with new laptop computers.
Our classrooms need HDMI and mini-USB adapters in order to connect our older Smartboards with our current laptop computers.
Students need adapters to view work on Smartboards. The Smartboards are great technologies to help engage students. But they are useless without the proper adapter. With the adapter, students can view videos, Power Points, Smart Notebooks, movies, and interactive media on the Smartboard.
Students are more apt to learn when they have access to modern presentation technology in the classroom.
