Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach grades 1 to 3 Autistic Support students in a large, urban school district in PA where 100% of the students in the school qualify for free/reduced price lunches.
My student come to school eager to learn and are always willing to try new approaches to learning.
Some learn better on tablets or desktops computers, some using pencils and workbooks and others doing cut and paste activities to increase their skills.
I am always looking for new materials to assist my students in becoming more independent learners.
My Project
Having a classroom of Autistic Students from first to third grade, who are all on different learning levels utilizing different ways to learn, has created a large amount of materials for my students to access. The Lakeshore rolling Heavy Duty Mobile Book Organizer will hold a large amount of student work that can be color coded using the included color dots. This cart can be moved around the classroom so the work will go where ever the students are, even if we decide to have a lesson outside!
I love that my students come to school ready to learn and we all try hard to find the right materials to match the students learning style.
