My Students

My students walk into my classroom every day with smiles on their faces, excited to learn. I try to give back to these wonderful kids by providing new and fun learning experiences for them to explore the world of science!

My students give me their best every day and deserve nothing but the best in return!

They come from diverse backgrounds and homes. Some live on farms and some live in the center of town. Despite where they come from or where they go after they leave my class, all of my students deserve the best learning experiences I can possibly give them! My students are teenagers, so they are opinionated, chatty, and rambunctious, but that's what makes them so fun! My students ask questions, wonder why, and problem solve all on their own. They work hard and aim to succeed!

My Project

The concepts of forces and molecules are more abstract, and often harder for students to wrap their heads around. Providing these hands-on learning materials for my science students will give them a new way to learn topics that are often difficult to understand.

These new lab materials will provide a fun and educational way for my students to learn more about simple machines and molecules throughout the school year.

Using these materials, the sometimes dull topics of simple machines and molecules will be more engaging and exciting for my students, improving their learning. Reading about a topic provides background, but actually experimenting with and building models of things students are learning about makes the experience of learning science that much better!
