Having An Adventure With Sancho Panza

Spanish 2 and 3 learners need authentic literature. Reading builds vocabulary and gives structure to the vocabulary. We need to read.

We have a classroom, desks, textbooks, and DVDs, but we need to read variety of literature together, and we do not have a budget for a library of authentic literature for each student or for additional technology. Students will greatly build their Spanish vocabulary if they can hear and see the words on the page from some of the best books like Don Quixote.

One way to solve our dilemma is for me to share the good Spanish stories I already have in my literature books via a document camera. I will be able to read sections of any authentic Spanish literature to my students, and the page will be projected so each student will be able to follow the Spanish words as I read.

You will make it possible for my students have an adventure with Sancho Panza as he and Don Quixote fight windmills, or one with El Cid as parts of the epic poem recount his battles, or hear and see the poetry of Nobel Prize winners.
