My students walk into my classroom every day with smiles and an eagerness to learn and grow! Many of my students come from difficult places and backgrounds. Our school is 100% free and reduced lunch, and many students receive the food backpacks over the weekend. Even with their hardships in and out of the classroom, my students are energetic and excited about learning new things!
Our school is full of wonderful teachers and intelligent kids who are always ready to help in any way.
I am looking to help my students be engaged in their learning through fun and hands-on learning experiences!
Students at our school rotate through "stations" at recess. Two of the stations are the soccer field and the basketball courts. We need new balls and storage equipment so that students are encouraged to run and play together!
The physical movement that these materials will encourage is vital to a student's academic success during the day.
They need to expend energy and move their muscles to encourage more learning after their recess. During the year, the balls we had to begin with have popped or been lost, and getting some new equipment will really give us an opportunity to encourage physical movement as well as give us practice in taking care of our things!
Please consider helping my class to get this new recess equipment. Not only will you be encouraging students to play and have fun, but you will also be helping them to reach new heights in the classroom!
