KBE lies in Memphis and provides roughly 900 students with the best academic and intellectual opportunities possible. KBE is a wonderful school that has the majority of our students coming from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Our school motto is "We are stronger together."
Our students love to move and PE is one of their favorite classes.
With new equipment, I will be able to integrate a variety of exciting games and recreational activities into our daily PE and ultimately empower each student to reach their fullest potential. I will also have the supplies needed to make field day memorable. This includes making sure our students are not just academically successful but mentally, socially, physically, intellectually, and holistically.
My Project
Swish! Whoosh! Those are some of the sounds you may hear in our gym. P.E. is the favorite class for many students in my school. Physical fitness is an important component to leading a healthy lifestyle. The inclusion of regular fitness activity helps students maintain fitness, develop muscular strength and improve cardiovascular health. When students come to PE, it is often one of the only places in school where it's okay to move, run, wiggle, and jump.
We need sports and fitness supplies to keep the class running smoothly.
My students love to play sports in the gym, but we need volleyballs, soccer balls, and beach balls. We also need an air pump to make sure the balls are properly inflated. We need floor tape to mark where students will sit and stand during fun movement activities. We also need batteries to operate our electronic PE equipment. With your help, we can make PE more active and engaging.
