GET OUT THE SQUIGGLES AND WIGGLES! The average seven year-old spends seven hours a day in their classroom with nothing more then a chair as hard as a cinder block to sit on. Please help enhance attention, improve balance and coordination, and strengthen the core with this one request!
My students are special individually and as a class.
Our classroom focuses on individuality as well as joining together and combining our strengths to learn in a fun and engaging manner. Each day we all work our hardest and strive to be the best we can be. As children of military parents, they oftentimes have struggles with deployment which takes an emotional toll. It is amazing to see their resilience and strength during difficult times. These eager learners deserve the best resources and materials available!
My Project
The phrase "twenty-first century learner" is used on a daily basis to describe the changing face of the youth of our nation. In order to keep up with the newest demands placed on children by our educational system, we must be continually looking for ways to adapt learning to meet their needs. Stability balls are the perfect solution to three critical challenges for today's youth: attention, exercise and coordination.
The benefits to the children are endless. During lessons, students will have increased focus which will allow them to retain more of the information they learn. Furthermore, the addition of stability balls in the classroom will give students more opportunities for fitness and exercise throughout the day. The possibilities are infinite!
With increased standards, decreased exercise, and raising expectations we must raise up and find ways to help our children achieve at the highest level possible.
This tool will help children access all of the critical knowledge they need to know, understand, and apply. Please help us HAVE A BALL in second grade!
