I have a full, rambunctious classroom that consists of twenty-four lively 6-7 year old kiddos. My students rotate through stations on a daily basis. It's a very structured, smooth routine. I have been so blessed to have the opportunity to teach such a great group of kids. This year's class has been like a breath of fresh air. All of my students work hard to please me and have kept up with their homework. They work together to keep the room neat and tidy. Overall, they are a great group of kiddos that have given me very few behavior problems all year. It's a joy to share the classroom with them.
My Project
We use the computers and tablets as part of our daily center rotation. Our centers run smoothly with the exception of dealing with the headphones. They are the one bump in the road. My students are lucky to have access to six desktop computers and five tablets. However, I only have 6 working headphones, which we use with the computers. Therefore, the iPads sometimes (okay, often) become disturbing during stations. Not to mention, the students at the computers are often frustrated. Most days students complain that the headphones are uncomfortable (probably due to missing ear pads and large quantities of duct tape) and/or are not working properly. Often times they have to be jiggled around. I have to leave my teacher-led station to help frustrated students on the computers. Needless to say, this is an issue that has to be resolved. My students deserve better than this. The materials you would be donating to my classroom would allow my classroom to run more efficiently and for my students to be less frustrated.
I can't describe how much my kiddos will love and appreciate twelve brand new, purple, comfortable headphones.
