My Students

Varying Exceptionalities/Developmentally Delayed pre-kindergarten is a group of little ones aged 3-5 years old where early intervention is key to helping them reach their fullest potential. We like to call them "different-abilities" as they are all able to do anything with our guidance, help and encouragement.

Energetic, fun-loving, with a thirst for growing and learning is the best way to describe this class.

We work hard daily with whatever needs they have to help them attain their goals and have a sense of accomplishment each and every day!

My class is one of four pre-kindergarten classes in a large public elementary school. Our goal is not only to help them with basic academics, but help build their social and communication skills so they will be ready for their next steps to kindergarten and beyond. We celebrate every small gain each and every day.

My Project

With our new way of learning and not being able to share materials, my students have baskets and bins for keeping their supplies and materials separated. Currently, we are using random tables and countertops to hold them when not in use. My students understand routines and are learning placement of their own supplies.

With new shelves and cubbies, they will be better equipped to return their baskets and bins to the right space and make the most of our instructional time.

With new cubbies and shelves, they will quickly learn where their supplies go or where to pick up for use without question or confusion, while keeping everything separated for health and safety for all.
