My Students

What is a "FRAMILY"? This class perfectly defines a "framily", we are a group of friends that are woven together like a family. This group of students is like no other that I have taught in my 17 year career. They will be looping with me to second grade in August.

This "framily" is just as important as the family we go home to each afternoon.

There are 24 Advanced Work amazing students in this class. These boys are girls are truly a classroom family. I watch in awe as they encourage one another, help one another, redirect one another, love and laugh (a lot) in the desire to learn as much as they can.

My Project

Having a comfortable place to curl up with a book, or listen to direct instruction is crucial in an elementary school classroom. A classroom rug is the centerpiece of a welcoming environment to promote learning. My students need a rug to read on, sit to complete work, and even more fun this rug has a handwriting teaching component as a great reference on how to properly print or practice cursive handwriting. A classroom rug will provide many years of comfort and practicality in my classroom, as well as, creating a beautiful space to encourage our students to be the best they can be.
