Help me give my students a Hats On approach to learning. We need a little something extra to assist in our Virtual Teaching. Hats that go with my books are the trick.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My wonderful students come from the neighborhood around the school and are a delight to teach. We are a Title I school, and the boys and girls represent a diverse population. All the students enjoy library class once per week. I do a variety of activities with my students and always want to incorporate more. Literacy and technology are our primary focus in the library, and students get so excited to learn new things in different and unique ways.
I have been wearing hats that coordinate with my stories during our Virtual Teaching Lessons.
The majority of my students do not speak English at home. They are all enrolled in our English Language Learners program. Even though they are learning a new language, they work hard and enjoy learning new things in different ways. The library has been very different since we are all reaching each other through the computer screen. My hats that coordinate with the books I am sharing have been a huge success during this trying time. The kids love to see what type of hat I am wearing each week.
My Project
The students and I have totally embraced virtual learning during Covid-19. Each week, the students look forward to seeing what hat I will wear that will coordinate with the weekly book. The hats have been a huge added addition to my lessons. The students are always engaged and intrigued wanting to know what our book is going to be about. We start our lessons by guessing what the book will be according to which hat I have on. So far this year the most talked about hat was my taco hat. I wore it when I read Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin to my students. Please help me provide more entertaining hats that coordinate with the books I am sharing with my students.
We like to keep our hats on while virtually learning in the library.
A few of the hats included in this project are a set of farm animal hats that coordinate with the Click Clack Moo series by Doreen Cronin, a hippo hat to wear with Fonda the Hippo by Richard Cowdrey, and a shark hat to wear while reading Clark the Shark by Bruce Hale. The list goes on and on. Please assist me in keeping my students actively engaged while virtually learning
