What do you remember most about your first grade years? Majority of people will say a time when they were involved in their learning. We have 80 inquisitive first graders who would say the same thing.
First graders want to be a part of their learning.
Hands on is the best way to let them explore and learn. Many of our students don't have the opportunity to experience certain things outside of school, we want to bring as many experiences into class as possible.
My Project
We are asking for two incubators, as well as accessories for our first grade classrooms to give the students an up close and personal look at the process of eggs hatching.
Hands on is the way to go.
What better way to learn about the life cycle of the chickens then with the students being able to watch the daily process. They get so excited as the chickens begin to hatch and they can watch the chicks grow.
There is a need to keep the eggs warm and be able to have them turned several times a day. For optimal growth of our chicks these are a necessary accessories to have in our classrooms.
