Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my kids do not have the means to purchase books at home. They are eager to learn and they need something different to get motivated. Some of them hate reading and this is because they didn't have the experience to read a fantastic novel such as Harry Potter. If you help me, I will make sure they enjoy reading. Meanwhile. they are having fun with interesting activities that involved comprehension, make your magic wand, science experiments, math measurements and research.
My Project
I am immersed in a wonderful project in order to make a classroom transformation about Harry Potter and I need to buy some books for my kiddos. Unfortunately, most of them do not have the means to purchase them.
Apart of having fun, I want to inspire them with the love of reading.
This project begins with the letter of acceptance to Hogwarts and a sorting ceremony of the houses. It will consists of reading aloud and together, playing Kahoot, involving parents to make sure they read at home, make cross-curricular activities such as experiments with potions, creating their own wand and much more. At the end, an awesome escape room awaits for them.
If you can contribute with one book I will be on cloud nine. My challenge is to get fifty books. I want to make them enjoy reading and hopefully, they will continue this fantastic novel.
Thank you so much. I cannot wait to post pictures and videos so that you can see this terrific experience!
